Extension of our school

The teachers of our school in Conakry work exemplary and there is no school fee. For this reason much more parents would be glad to send their children to our school. But our school is working at full capacity already from the beginning of 2007.

Therefore we already planned to build an additional building with 3 classrooms next to our existing school. The nursery school will be accommodated there. After completion we will be able to accept approx. 150 additional pupils.

Many mothers in distress bring very small children like babys to our nursery school to have better chances to earn their modest daily living. ++ Social facilities like "Kindergarten" or "after-school day care" centres are unknown in Africa. Our nursery school fulfills a similar function in the neighbourhood around our school.

Nursery and primary school teaching are the elementary basis of education. Therefore we concentrate at present our activities on the development of the nursery and primary school section.

The higher-than-average inflation makes school building very expensive compared to a few years ago. So we need a lot of more money to finish our project to be able to start the next one.
